Welcome to Biological Modeling and Systems Biology Lab!!


Systems biology is an emerging research field that is characterized by highly interdisciplinary activities. Expertise in engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science, mathematics can all be added to a biological core. Unlike traditional biology which investigates individual genes and proteins one at a time, systems biology aims to investigate the interactions of biological components to understand the behaviors of the complex biological systems. Computational efforts are integrated with experimental data to achieve the goal.

Our research focuses on using mathematical modeling and informatics techniques to provide system-level analysis of the biological systems for clinical applications. Recently, collaborated with pathologists and biologists, our research scope has exteneded to cancer research, trying to solve clinical problems by biomedical big data analysis.
