My primary research interests are to investigate the demographic and social processes that influence health and related behaviors internationally, incorporating the theories and methods from demography, public health and sociology at the individual and societal level. Building on an ecological perspective, several my research work specifically focuses on a HIV/AIDS related issues by using a multi-level approach to examine the social and structural factors of the workplace that affect sexual health-related behaviors among female establishment workers in the Philippines. In addition, I am also interested in exploring how early-life disadvantage affects the health status of older adults in later life and how social environment shapes this
relationship.
