文字方塊:     本研究室研究領域主要為臨床神經物理治療療效與腦部恢復機轉及動作控制,並利用動物模型之基礎研究方式,探討臨床研究上較無法直接深入之恢復機制問題,以供臨床應用及基礎參考。分述如下:

一、臨床研究
本研究室臨床研究主要目的為探討臨床常見的神經疾病之恢復及治療成效和機轉。為利用平衡、步態和動作評估之相關儀器和量表來測量受試者動作功能之變化。並著重於後續的治療介入的設計及療效,而療效則包括動作功能、日常活動、及腦部機轉等。主要以中風和巴金森氏症患者為探討對象。
而我國目前老年人口已超過13%,至2026年則老年人口將超過20%,全球亦是朝此方向發展,因此老化問題或議題之重要性不可言喻。我們雖以中風及巴金森氏症神經疾患為主要研究領域,但對老化的相關議題亦開始積極探討,期望能對老化的社會有所貢獻。包括針對健康老年人、輕微認知受損老年人、及前衰弱老人探討動作功能及認知表現,亦設計如虛擬實境及雙重任務等活動作為改善的策略。
透過本研究室之研究探討,當可提供臨床上對各類疾病患者之評估、治療方式之選擇,及治療效果之評估的參考與應用。此部分之研究陸續獲科技部(國科會)及國衛院計畫補助,且研究結果多已發表在國際SCI知名期刊。

二、基礎研究
本研究室藉由動物模型以神經生理學為基礎,來探討臨床常見之疾病的恢復及治療機轉。本研究室已經發展出以中大腦動脈阻塞(Middle Cerebral Artery Occlusion, MCAO)的大鼠做為中風動物模型,並以此動物模型做一系列相關研究之探討。利用中大腦動脈阻塞的大鼠來探討臨床常見的腦部缺氧性中風,並建立許多相關的神經和行為方面之評估技術,包括:利用TTC染色來測量腦梗塞體積、利用雷射杜譜勒血流計來測量腦血流、利用微透析法和高效能液相層析儀來測量腦脊髓液中神經傳導物質的量、利用大鼠的Grip Strength Meter來量測抓握肌力、利用神經分數來評估大鼠動作功能損傷程度等等。本研究室亦以六烴基多巴胺(6-OHDA)注射方式建立黑質部多巴胺神經元退化的巴金森氏症動物模型,以探討運動介入之效果及機轉,包括小膠質細胞和腫瘤壞死因子所造成的發炎反應之影響。
上述 神經生理基礎之研究已陸續獲得國科會(科技部)和榮總台聯大之補助而執行了許多相關之研究計劃,部份之研究成果已有數篇發表在國際SCI知名期刊上。並進一步了解中風及巴金森氏症之生理病理變化及訓練的保護及治療之效果,提供更多有關中風與巴金森氏症恢復及機轉之知識。
