〈 研 究 興 趣 〉

  • 過去幾年內,我的實驗室結合醫學檢驗及生物技術,進行結核桿菌分子診斷學之研究。在TB團隊(陽明醫技系、臺北榮總胸腔部、臺灣省慢性病防治局)的支援下,我們一方面建立了結核桿菌核酸多樣性的資料庫,供菌株鑑定及病原追蹤的參考;一方面協助研發快速診斷TB之分子方法;並且著手建立抗藥性結核桿菌的分子診斷方法。目前正在進行DNA晶片的發展(與工研院醫工中心合作)以及臨床檢驗使用之評估 (與臺北榮總胸腔部合作)。


  • 同時,我的實驗室參與榮陽肝癌研究團隊,從事肝癌細胞基因表現之探討。早期,我們針對與癌化有密切關係的 Protein Tyrosine Kinases 在正常肝及肝癌細胞內的整體表現型進行分析。目前我們正全力以赴的利用人類基因體計畫(Human Genome Project)所衍生的工具及技術學,如 microarray、subtraction hybridization 及生物資訊學(bioinformatics)等,對肝癌組織內表現異常的各種基因做全面性的定義(Functional Genomics)以尋求參與癌化之基因群。我們預期如此大規模的分析方法將提供肝癌早期診斷的新指標(markers)以及治療的新標的(therapeutic targets)。


  • 延續新基因的基因探討,本實驗室也建立了研究肝細胞功能的一些實驗系統,如老鼠肝再生的基因學探討(陽明大學卓越計劃)以及抗氧化元素硒(selenium)對肝 癌細胞生長之訊息傳導(signal transduction)的研究。希望將來能夠更進一步的瞭解肝細胞增生的原因,以及硒如何降低B型肝炎病毒的感染及減少原發型(primary)肝癌之形成。
