1. Immunomodulation of Dendritic cells and macrophages by deco receptor         3 (DcR3).
    a) Role of DcR3 in the differentiation of type I vs type II macrophages (M1
        vs. M2), as well as tumor associated macrophages (TAMs).
    b) Functions of DcR3 to promote stem cell release for tissue reparing.

2. Host-Pathogen Interaction
    a) Identification of innate immunity receptors interacting with viruses and
        other pathogens.
    b) Functional study of innate immunity receptors (C-type lectin, SIGLEC,
        TREM and others ) in acute (dengue virus, influenza virus) and chronic
        (hepatitis B and C viruses) viral infections.
    c) Fingerprinting of polysaccharides isolated from Chinese herb drug.

3. Cancer Stem Cells.
    a) Modulation of glycan structure on cancer stem cells.
    b) Interaction between cancer stem cells with innate immunity receptors.
