Brain science is among the most challenging yet important research field in the 21st century. National Yang-Ming University (NYMU) has recognized the impact of neuroscience research over 20 years ago and thus established the first institute of neuroscience in Taiwan since then. To further improve brain research at NYMU, Brain Research Center (BRC) was established in 2003.

BRC at NYMU is focusing on both basic and applied research in brain science and neuroscience. Through integration of the most advanced technologies and research tools in both life sciences and clinical medicine, BRC at NYMU is aimed at resolving the underlying mechanisms of neurological/psychiatric disorders. BRC at NYMU is dedicated to mature into an internationally renowned institute in brain science conducting top-notch research in this field.
