The Accounting Office takes charge of annual accounting, general accounting
and the statistics of NYMU in accordance with related laws and regulations. The
Accounting Office carries out its duties with centralized services and provides
prompt and useful information on management and accounting techniques;
understands the needs of its business and makes flexible use of laws and
regulations; reinforces internal and external coordination and communication to
accomplish all missions; and spontaneously absorbs new knowledge in management
and uses computer to enhance work efficiency.
When NYMU was founded in 1975 until the fiscal year 1996, the accounting operation was unit budget oriented. The school affairs fund and an affiliated unit budget approach has been implemented since fiscal year 1997. Based on the concept of business operations, the Accounting Office has been attempting to increase sales volume, boost income and reduce costs in order to enhance sales performance.
