The Library is mainly serving faculty and students of our school, by offering information though books, journals, etc., the library is responsible for collecting teaching and research materials, providing support to teaching and research and helping promotion. The library also enthusiastically tries to enhance its collection whenever possible. In 2006, we moved into the 1F to 3F of the new Library and Information Communication Building (Lib & Info Building) with usable space of 6,081 m2. The floor plan includes a music area, a discussion room for 4-6 people and a medium sized audio/visual room. Thus all provides a multifaceted, convenient, comfortable, and user-friendly service for faculties and students.
Focusing on the library collection itself, the target is medical science with over 100,000 volumes of books (in Chinese, English, etc.) and more than 6,000 units of audio-visual materials. In addition, we have rich collections of domestic and international journals, newspapers, online databases, CD-ROMs and floppy disks. With these collections, we are able to satisfy the students' demands when studying and conducting research. In the future, in addition to enhance our collections of traditional books, we are also endeavoring to increase our digital collection. Moreover, we actively cooperate with other universities with the aim of sharing library services and resources and promoting information literacy and life-long learning by the University's faculty and students.
